Area Rug Deliveries
Area rugs are shipped free to most addresses within Canada for online area rug purchases but minimum order should be $500. Shipping is through Canpar Ground Courier, Canada Post, FedEx Ground Courier, or UPS Standard. Rugs will be delivered Monday-Friday between 9-6pm. However, the courier will not specify a time. Orders should arrive within 7-10 business days if the item is in stock.
Please note that extra charges may apply for over-size rugs (9×12 or larger) and/or rugs shipped to remote areas of Canada. We will notify you if there is an oversize shipping issue. Return and Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase, which is a goal that has kept Imperial Carpet and Home in business since 1969.
If you have made a purchase online and have reconsidered it prior to the shipping notification, you may cancel your order by email (Note: your card will not have been charged at this point, although you may see a temporary authorization).
Please note special order rugs may be subject to a restocking fee or may not be eligible for return. Custom order rugs are non-refundable.

(ONLINE PURCHASE) – We have a full refund after 7 days policy if you decide your rug is not the right fit for your home. After the 7 day full refund return period, within 30 days you will still be eligible for an on-line store or in-store credit. All items must be in new condition & undamaged in order for us to process any returns.
When returning rugs you are responsible for the return shipping costs to Imperial carpet and home. Customers will be responsible for the return shipping, brokerage, and handling costs. Save the original packaging if you are sending the rug back to us and we will arrange for the courier to pick up the product. If you would like to save on the return shipping costs, you can return the rug in person to our location.

(IN-STORE PURCHASE) – No refund or exchange on discounted items. Refund or exchange on all other merchandise within 24 hours.

- Imperial Carpet and Home stocking lines – No charge if goods have not been cut to customer’s order, otherwise 50% charge applies.
Special Order Roll Goods (Carpet)
- 50% restocking charge on material only if order cancelled and has not yet been cut
Custom Cuts & Sizes
- There are no returns on any custom cuts or customized products

Imperial Carpet and home does not share any information collected through our web store. All information collected is for the purpose of completing your order. Following completion of each sale, all credit card information is erased from our server.

You will only receive promotional material from Imperial Carpet and home if you have requested to receive these messages. Imperial Carpet and home will never share your name or email address. If you wish to be removed from our promotional mailing list, please unsubscribe.
Imperial Carpet and home has taken every precaution to protect customer information sent over the internet. All sensitive information is encrypted with the state of the art encryption software (SSL technology) used by our secure server, the same technology used by many financial institutions. The lock icon should appear at the bottom of your web browser or ‘https’ (s=secure) will appear in the URL address when you are submitting credit card information to our server.
All of our area rugs at Imperial Carpet and home are covered by a limited 1 year Manufacturer’s Defect Warranty, this does not cover any misuse or unreasonable wear and tear.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and commences from the date of delivery.
Your rugs are inspected by our experts prior to being shipped to you but we recommend when it is received to check it thoroughly. If you have received a rug that is defective in any way, please notify us upon receipt at email@example.com with the subject “Defective Rug”. We apologize and will make arrangements for its retrieval as well as refunding your purchase in full or sending you a replacement. Please use the original packaging material to prepare your package for pick up.
